Weddings at St. Sepulchre-without-Newgate
As
the largest and one of the most beautiful churches in the City of London, St
Sepulchre's is the perfect setting for your wedding. And we have an excellent
choir who, under our Director of Music Andrew Earis, specialise in producing
just the right music for the occasion.
In fact weddings are a particular speciality of ours.
It's not difficult to arrange. The formalities are few. You don't have to live
in the City. Perhaps you work in the Square Mile or have a City connection -
say, with a Livery Company? In that case you would very likely be eligible to
marry at St Sepulchre's. And of course the church is very central and convenient
for a whole range of venues for your Wedding Reception. We can even recommend a
talented florist!

Memorial services and other commemorative services at St.
Sepulchre-without-Newgate
St.
Sepulchre-without-Newgate is frequently the location of major memorial and other
commemorative services, both in its role as a City church and as the National
Musicians' Church.
As the Musicians’ Church, St. Sepulchre's has a rich musical tradition - and the
Musicians' Chapel is the last resting place of Sir Henry Wood, founder of the
Promenade concerts. Some of the most famous names in English music are
intimately associated with the Chapel and their names recorded in our treasured
Book of Remembrance. But there are many commemorated in the Book whose influence
on their generations was no less significant - those who, in the magical words
of Ecclesiasticus, "found out musical tunes", whether as composers, performers
or teachers or other promulgators of the art of music.
For further information about holding a memorial or other commemorative service
in St. Sepulchre's, please contact the Rector, Revd Dr Peter Mullen, on 020 7248
